Once upon a time, our family could eat gluten-filled food without trouble. Or much trouble. Or much trouble that we recognized. Over time, trouble got worse and worse. Then we realized that gluten was causing the distress for one of the people in our family. So, we worked hard to figure out how to make gluten-free baked goods.
We worked hard to come up with replacements for gluten, refining the recipes, and making the treats better with each round. Our family and friends told us that the baked goods were the best that they'd ever had. But, you know, family and friends say nice things.
Then, we entered our gluten-free chocolate cake, vanilla cake, and double fudge caramel brownies into a competition at work. The competition was for all treats, not just gluten-free. We swept! The chocolate cake and brownies went into a DC-wide competition. Again, a regular competition, not gluten-free. We took home medals!
We started thinking...hm, maybe we should share the love with others looking for delectable, rich, and delicious gluten-free treats. We hope that you enjoy.
